Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website limestone-studio.com and the services provided by Limestone Studio ("we", "us", "our"). By engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.

Services

Limestone Studio provides digital brand design services including website design, development, deployment, search visibility optimization, and ongoing maintenance for businesses in Canada and beyond.

Project Scope and Pricing

All projects begin with a written proposal that outlines the scope of work, deliverables, timeline, and total cost. The quoted price is the final price — we do not charge hidden fees. Any changes to the agreed scope will be discussed and approved by both parties in writing before work proceeds.

Ownership and Intellectual Property

Upon full payment, you receive:

• Full ownership of your domain name
• Ownership of all custom design files created for your project
• Ownership of all website code and content
• The right to have hosting transferred to accounts you control (hosting runs in Limestone Studio accounts while you are on a care plan)

We retain the right to display the completed project in our portfolio and marketing materials unless you request otherwise in writing.

Payment Terms

Payment terms are specified in each project proposal. Typical structure:

• 50% deposit to begin work
• 50% upon project completion and approval

For projects under $1,000, full payment may be collected upfront as agreed in the proposal.

Payment Methods

We accept Interac e-Transfer and direct bank transfer only. We do not accept cheques, money orders, credit card payments, cryptocurrency, gift cards, or payment from third parties. Work begins only after funds have cleared and are final.

Overpayment and Refunds

If we ever receive more than the invoiced amount, we return the excess to the original payer, by the same method, and only after the original payment is final. We will not forward funds to a third party under any circumstances. Refunds are issued only to the person and account that made the original payment.

Revisions

All packages include a reasonable number of revisions as specified in your project proposal. Additional revisions beyond the agreed scope may incur additional charges, which will be communicated and approved before work begins.

Care and Support

All packages include 3 months of care from the date of project launch. Care covers hosting, SSL certificates, uptime monitoring, security updates and small content updates. Small content updates means up to 2 text or image changes per month, up to 30 minutes of work in total; work beyond this is quoted in advance and billed at $85/hour.

After the included period, care continues automatically as a monthly subscription — Care at $49/month, or Care+ for restaurants and cafés at $99/month — at the rate in your proposal or, if none is specified, the rate listed on this site when your care period begins. We will give at least 30 days' written notice before any price change takes effect, and you may cancel before it does. Custom website clients receive priority support on any care plan.

Your first monthly payment is due 3 calendar months after the launch date. We will send a reminder at least 60 days before this date; paid care begins only after this reminder has been sent. Care fees are invoiced monthly in advance and due within 14 days.

You may cancel at any time by email; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current monthly billing period, and no further fees are charged.

Care+ covers changes to existing menu items, opening hours and photos supplied in ready-to-use form, completed within 2 business days; same-day requests may be batched, and statutory holidays extend the window. It does not cover new pages, redesigns or image production.

When care ends — by cancellation or otherwise — we transfer the domain, website files and hosting configuration to accounts you control at no charge for our time. Third-party costs (such as registrar transfer or renewal fees) are billed at cost, and domain transfers are subject to registrar rules, including the 60-day transfer lock. Transfer is available once outstanding invoices are settled. If the transfer is not accepted within 30 days of care ending, hosting ends and the site is taken offline; your files remain available to you. While you are on a care plan (including the included 3 months), domain renewal is included; after transfer, domain renewal is your responsibility.

We may discontinue care plans with 60 days' written notice; in that case we transfer everything to accounts you control at no charge. If an invoice remains unpaid 30 days after its due date, we may suspend care, including hosting, until it is settled.

Timeline

Estimated timelines are provided in each project proposal. Delays caused by the client (late content delivery, extended review periods) may extend the timeline accordingly. We will communicate proactively if any delays arise on our end.

Cancellation and Refunds

If you wish to cancel a project before completion:

• Before design work begins: full deposit refund
• After design work has started: deposit is non-refundable, but all completed work to date will be delivered to you

Limitation of Liability

Limestone Studio's total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for the specific project. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages including loss of revenue or data.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
